Hindi Medium & Newton becomes topper

Just on 20^th January, 2018, the most famous of Bollywood, Filmfare Award function was held in Mumbai. It was 63^rd Filmfare award, sponsored by JIO. Film maker Karan Johar and Hindi Superstar Shahrukh Khan has hosted this function, in presence of mostly known and unknown Bollywood stars. It was a marvalous function with the best performance of Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Pariniti Chopra, Ayushyaman Khurana and many more. Bollywood super actress, Vidhya Balan won her 6^th Fimfare

BEST ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE (MALE) – IRRFAN KHAN
Movie – HINDI MEDIUM

award, as a best actress for her extra ordinary performance of film “Tumari Sulu” and Irrfan Khan won best actor award for his mind blowing acting in film, “Hindi Medium”. Not only that but Rajkumar Rao had also achieved Critics award for best Actor, for his film “NEWTON”. Filmfare award for best film also goes to film; “Hindi Medium” and Critics award for best film goes to “NEWTON”. Rajkumar Rao becomes real hero in this function, because he also won best supporting actor award for “Bareilly ki Barfi”.

BEST ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE (FEMALE) – VIDYA BALAN
Movie – TUMHARI SULU

Ex superstar of Bollywood, Mala Sinha and Disco songs specialist, Bappi Lahiri, both were honoured by “Life Time Achievement Award” in this function. 20^th night was shining with superstars, Amitabh Bachhan, Jaya Bachhan, Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Kajol, Preity Zinta, Rekha, Sunny Leone, Sonam Kapoor, R.Madhavan, Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh and many more. “Jagga Jasoos” won maximum and highest four Filmfare awards for, Best Music Album, Best Lyrics, Best Background Score and Best Choreography. Best Story Award also goes to NEWTON. We can surly says that, NEWTON and JAGGA JASOOS becomes most awarded movies, in this year.

BEST DIRECTOR – ASHWINI IYER TIWARI | Movie – BAREILLY KI BARFI

Here, there is a notable point that, “Tiger Zinda Hai” of Salman Khan’s movie is super duper on box office and had crossed 500 crores collection, but this movie has won only one Filmfare award and that is also for best action, to Tom Struthers. Even, the best movie of Akshay Kumar, “Toilet Ek Premkatha”, which is also crossed a figure of 200 crore on box office, was nominated for three categories, but get no award. Same thing happens with Shahrukh Khan’s Raees, Ajay Devgan’s “Golmal Again” and Juddva-2 of Varun Dhavan. These all movies are on top 10 list of box office, but won no Filmfare. So, one thing is fact that, there is no connection of box office collection with super acting and award winning category.
