Weddings are awe-inspiring and are more like a celebration in India. Therefore, divorce is often the cause of conversations and triggers emotions that no one can determine. When he writes, Raj Mehta tries to dwell on the story of two divorces from one family with humorous twists. He establishes the plot by establishing how issues can enter the families of former friends, Kukoo ( Varun Dhawan) and Naina ( Kiara Advani), following their wedding. After five years of being married, they decide to split up, and the real battle is when Kukoo finds out that his father, Bheem ( Anil Kapoor), is also planning to divorce his spouse, Geeta ( Neetu Kapoor), since he is in love with Meera (Tisca Chopra).
The central storyline and the tension that drives Jug Jugg Jeeyo is actually a comedy. Still, Raj Mehta, along with his screenwriters, Sumit Batheja and Anuraj Singh, have written his screenplay in such a way that each heavy scene is followed by something lighter. It reaches the height of the Drama, and there’s a line sure to get you smiling. Although this issue could easily have been on the more serious aspect, it’s the writing that guarantees a mix of emotion, laughter, and tension. Of course, Jug Jugg Jeeyo is not perfect.
The premise behind the film is aimed at urban audiences, not expanding to desi cinema-going viewers. There’s a scene in the pre-climax (details kept out of spoilers) that could be removed. This is a bold move by the producers. However, the middle-class junta may seem a bit disconnected. The editing is excellent, which ensures a quick-paced story. Cinematography is vibrant and precisely the kind of image that makes you want to for a cinematic experience. The dialogues composed by Rishhabh Sharma are awe-inspiring. The one-liners he wrote specifically to be used in Maniesh Paul’s role are certain to fill the room with laughter, while certain of the more emotional dialogues contain the depth needed to deal with the heavier scenes in the film.
The music is excellent and seamlessly blends into the plot. The location on the screen of Naach and Punjaban’s scenes in the latter half increases the film’s pace. Additionally, it’s a wedding experience that we’ve missed for a long time at the cinema. One of the greatest advantages of Jug Jugg Jeeyo lies in its unique story, and there is a newness that will make us wonder about what the story will be like in the final scene. The romantic sequences are warm, and the bond between the two main characters is enough to make us want them to create a full-on romantic comedy very soon. There’s a dramatic battle between Naina and Kukoo within the film’s final halfof the film, and you’ll be amazed at how real emotions appear in the sequence. It’s one of the most memorable scenes in the film.
In terms of the performances, Varun Dhawan is absolutely amazing as Kukoo. He’s an underdog in this film, and by the end of the intermission, you’re feeling for Kukoo’s character. He’s the Bechara character all through the film, as every thought he has resulted in. Although the trailer hinted at a boy next door for VD, The film as a whole demands Varun display a broad spectrum of emotions that range from anger to frustration and, of course, some funny, funny scenes. Varun’s performance is among his most multi-layered performances to the present. Kiara Advani in the role of Naina is what could be called the most memorable performance of her career. She is a master of dramatic and emotional scenes, while the more lighthearted ones are easy to handle for her. Anil Kapoor is an absolute star playing Bheem, as his vulnerability brings humor to the film’s situations. He has superb comic timing, and there are times when his vintage clothes are reminiscent of the cute Kishan in No Entry. The way he switches from being fragile to emotional is awe-inspiring. Neetu Kapoor is back in the film, and her performance indicates how well-educated she is in her acting. Keep an eye out for her emotional exchange with Kiara Advani during the 2nd part. Maniesh Paul is an absolute riot and delivers some hilarious comedy lines throughout the movie. Every time he’s on-screen can be an indication of hilarious humor to come. Prajakta Koli makes a fine debut.
